Separation of Church & Sexuality Unhealthy?
By Andy Neckar

Too many pulpits are silent about sex -- especially if it involves discussions of condoms or abortion, says James L. Demus III, pastor of the Park Manor Christian Church in Chicago "You need to break the silence about human sexuality and reproductive health in your church," he told a group of Fort Worth religious leaders recently. Demus said "If you have 100 members in your church, you will have 10 or 15 who have sexuality issues related to abortion, condoms or other matters."

So-he preaches to the 10 to 15 goats in the church he pastors and leaves the sheep to fend for themselves. During a sermon on "Sex and Society," he even tossed out condoms from his pulpit to emphasize that such protection is needed to help prevent sexually transmitted diseases, such as AIDS. "The young people thought it was the greatest thing in the world", he said

We Christians think that Jesus Christ and His offer of salvation is the greatest thing in the world, and the greatest story (gospel of Christ) ever told under the sun. But you know how goats are, they like to eat things like condoms. They say goats will swallow (fall for) just about anything.

The meeting was sponsored by Planned Parenthood of North Texas as an endeavor to enlist local religious authorities in presenting open-minded and deep-seated data about birth control, abortion and other subjects related to human sexuality. (sexual appetite/indulgence) A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman said they are establishing a group called "Clergy for Responsible Choices", a forum for faith leaders to discuss birth control and other subjects related to human sexuality. (Erotic desire-lust)

This is just what the worldly churches need. They are offered it, some are requesting it and they're "gonna get it" in more ways than one. We used to have "God Called Clergy for Spiritually Responsible Choices" behind our pulpits, but now we increasingly see and hear of "Professional Clergy for Manageable Choices" behind these very same pulpits.

By the way, if you "see these things" in the church rather than "hear of them", GET OUT. May God have mercy on your soul.

Demus said Pastors, priests and rabbis who present artificial contraception and abortion as choices for individuals will face much opposition from anti-abortion conservative Christian leaders, "This is dangerous work," he said, referring to the violence that has sometimes erupted at abortion clinics. "But it's worth it."

This is supposedly a Christian Pastor speaking these words folks. If he remains unrepentant he's gonna find out just how dangerous his work really was. When he tells Jesus what all he's done, such as "…Lord. Lord…"

Matt 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And Jesus answers him thus.
Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I wonder is he's gonna say, "But it was worth it"

Linda Goddard, founding director of a sex education program that has been presented to religious groups since the early 1980s, is best known for week-long sex education summer camps in Texas and New Mexico attended by young people who are entering the ninth grade. She says "The number of churches offering sex education is increasing though". Seventeen Texas congregations such as Presbyterians, United Methodists and other mainline Christian groups participate. Several Tarrant County (Ft Worth TX metroplex) congregations will be sending young people to one of her camps at Lake Brownwood this summer, Goddard said they have a biblically based program that presents abstinence as God's ideal," "BUT" she says, " we have sessions on birth control, anatomy, levels of sexual arousal, oral sex, abortion and other issues."

This camp would be good for kids who want the "permission of their patents" to get sexually aroused viewing the male & female anatomy. If any have difficulty achieving sexual arousal, a class will be offered on how to reach the desired level without the fear of pregnancy, as oral sex will be discussed. Then these "educated" kids can cut-class on abortion as the they engage in proper social graces, (etiquette) such as not to talk with your mouth full.

Hey-TRUTH is not ALWAYS respectable.

The Religious Yoke
[This article taken from the "SyeeC Homepage" in Singapore. ]

In no department of the believer's life does the command, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers," apply more fully than in matters pertaining to the worship and service of God. The children of God are a distinct and separate people, by redemption and calling. Their citizenship is in heaven, as is also their inheritance and their hope. They are left down here to be "the salt of the earth," and the "light of the world." The wheat and tares-that is, the children of God, and the children of the wicked one-will both grow together in the field (and the field is the world) until the end (see Matt 13:24-30, 38, 39); but they are not to be yoked together in the Church, or associated in the worship and service of God. The Church of Christ, as it is presented in the Scriptures, consists of the children of God. The unconverted, whether religious or profane, are forbidden to mingle with the saints of God, or share their privileges and responsibilities. We read of the early church, that "all that believed wre together," and "of the rest durst no man join himself to them" (Acts 2:44; 5:13). It is not so now. The greater number of the religious denominations are largely composed of the unconverted. What can a child of light have in common with these sons of darkness? You cannot become "communicants" or "members" in any of the churches where the unconverted are admitted without being "unequally yoked" with them. May the Lord preserve the feet of His saints, and enable each of us to yield hearty, unhesitating obedience to His Word.

The Matchless Pearl
[This article taken from the "SyeeC Homepage" in Singapore. ]

The old Indian pearl diver clambered onto the dock, grinning and shaking the water from his shining, oiled body. "Look at this big oyster, Sahib," he said.

"Rambhau!" exclaimed David Morse, a missionary. "Why, it's a treasure!"

"Yes, a good one," shrugged the diver, "but there are better pearls - much better. Why, I have one . . ." His voice trailed off. "See this one - the imperfections: the black speck here, this tiny dent; even in shape it is a bit oblong, but good enough as pearls go."

"Your eye is too sharp for your own good, friend," lamented Morse. "I would never ask for a more perfect pearl!"

"It is just as you say of your God. To themselves people look perfect, but God sees them as they actually are."

"You're right, Rambhau. And God offers perfect righteousness to all who will simply believe and accept His free offer of salvation. Can't you see that, my friend?"

"No, Sahib. As many times I have told you before, it's too easy. That is where your good religion breaks down. I cannot accept that. Perhaps I am too proud. I must work for my place in heaven or I would always be uncomfortable."

"Oh, Rambhau!" behind the missionary's words were years of prayer for this man. "You'll never get to heaven that way. There's only one way. If you want to see heaven's gates of pearl you must accept the new life God offers you through His Son."

"Sahib, today is my last day of diving. This is the last month of the year, and I have preparations to make. On New Year's day I will begin my pilgrimage. All my life I have planned it. I shall make sure of heaven this time. I am going to Delhi on my knees."

"Man! You're crazy! It's 900 miles to Delhi. The skin will break on your knees, and you'll have blood poisoning before you get to Bombay."

"No! I must go to Delhi. Then the immortals will reward me. The suffering will be sweet, for it will purchase heaven for me.''

"Rambhau, my friend! How can you do this when Jesus Christ has died to purchase heaven for you?"

"You are my dearest friend on earth, Sahib Morse. But even you cannot turn me from this great desire to purchase eternal bliss. I must go to Delhi."

It was useless. The old pearl diver could not understand, could not accept the free salvation of Christ.

One afternoon Rambhau invited Morse to come with him to his house. "I have something to show you," he said. "I leave for Delhi just one week from tomorrow, you know," declared the diver as they neared his house. The missionary's heart sank.

Inside, Rambhau quickly brought out a small but heavy English strongbox. "I have had this box for years," he said. I keep only one thing in it. Now I will tell you about it. Sahib Morse, I once had a son."

"A son! Why Rambhau, you never said a word about him !"

"No Sahib, I couldn't." Even as the diver spoke tears came to his eyes. "Now I must tell you, for soon I must leave. My son was a diver too. He was the best pearl diver on the coast of India. What joy he brought to me! He always dreamed of finding a pearl beyond all that had ever been found. One day he found it, but he had already been under water too long. He lost his life soon after." The old man bowed his head, and for a moment his whole body shook, but there was no sound.

"All these years I have kept the pearl, but now I am going, never to return, and I give this pearl to you, my best friend."

The diver worked the combination on the strongbox and drew from it a carefully wrapped package. Gently opening the cotton, he grasped a mammoth pearl and placed it in the hand of the missionary. It was one of the largest pearls ever found off the coast of India, and it glowed with a luster and brilliance never seen in cultured pearls. It would have brought a fabulous sum in any market.

"This pearl, Sahib, is perfect," said the Indian quietly.

Morse gazed in wonder at the priceless gem. "Rambhau, this is a wonderful pearl, an amazing pearl! Let me buy it. I will give you $10, 000 for it. "Sahib! What do you mean?"

"Well, I will give $15, 000 for it, or if it takes more I will work for it."

"Sahib," said the old man, his body stiffening, "this pearl is beyond all price. No man in all the world has money enough to pay what this pearl is worth to me. I will not sell it to you. You may only have it as a gift."

"No, Rambhau, as much as I want the pearl, I cannot accept it that way. Perhaps I am too proud, but that is too easy. I must pay for it, or work for it."

The old pearl diver was stunned. "You don't understand at all, Sahib. Don't you see? My only son gave his life to get this pearl, and I wouldn't sell it for any money. Its worth is in the life blood of my son. I cannot sell this, but I can give it to you. Just accept it as a token of my love for you."

The missionary was choked and could not speak. Then he gripped the hand of the old man, "Rambhau, don't you see? That is just what you have been saying to God."

The diver slowly began to understand.

"God is offering to you salvation as a free gift. It is so great and priceless that no man on earth could buy it. No man on earth could earn it. No man is good enough to deserve it. It cost God the life blood of His only Son to open the way for you into heaven. All you can do is accept it as a token of God's love for you, a sinner. Rambhau, of course I will accept the pearl in deep humility, praying God I may be worthy of your love. Rambhau, won't you accept God's great gift of heaven, too, in deep humility, knowing it cost Him the death of His Son to offer it to you?"

Great tears were falling down the cheeks of the old man; the great veil was lifting; he understood at last. "Sahib, I see it now. I have believed in the doctrine of Jesus for two years, but I could not believe that His salvation was free. Now I understand. Some things are too priceless to be bought or earned. Sahib, I will accept His salvation."

How about you, my friend? Are you trying to earn your way to heaven? God's Word says,

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom 5:8).

"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy" (Tit 3:5).

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast" (Eph 2:8-9).

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).

"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).

Trust in Jesus Christ now and be saved! He is your only hope of heaven.

A terrible blizzard was raging over the eastern part of the States, making more and more difficult the progress of a train that was slowly forcing its way along.

Among the passengers was a woman win a child, who was much concerned lest she should not get off at the right station. A gentleman, seeing her anxiety, said:

"Do not worry. I know the road well, and I will tell you when you come to your station." In due course the train stopped at the station before the one at which the woman wanted to get off.

"The next station will be yours, madam," said the gentleman. Then they went on, and in a few minutes the train stopped again. "Now is your time, madam; get out quickly," he said. The woman took up her child, and. thanking the gentleman for his kindly interest, left the train.

At the next stop, to his surprise and alarm, the brakeman called out the name of the station were the woman had wished to get off. "You have already stopped at this station!" called the gentleman to the official. "No, sir," he replied, "something was wrong with the engine. and we stopped for a few moments to repair it." "Alas!" cried the passenger, "I have put that woman oft in the storm when the train stopped between stations!

Afterwards they found her with her child in her arms. Both were frozen to death. It was the terrible and tragic consequence of wrong directions being given.

Still more terrible are the results of mis-directing the souls of men. Yet it must be evident to all that amid the "Babel" of contradictory voices which are heard today, many of the directions must be false and misleading. even when given by well-meaning men. All cannot be true.

We should then, one and all, be on our guard against being misdirected for eternity. It is all too solemn to rest on uncertainties with such an important matter as our soul's salvation. and as to where we shall spend eternity in heaven, or in hell? It must be one of the two places.

Thank God. there is no need for us to depend upon doubtful counsel. In His own sure Word, He has Himself given the plainest directions as to the way to heaven. The way He indicates is not the way of "doing our best." or of "observing the golden rule," or of "trying to be good."

We are assured at the outset, that none of these ways will lead us to heaven. We have, all of us, wandered too far astray from God, for any such directions to help us.

The Word of God points to Christ as the only way. He suffered at Calvary, not merely as a martyr, but as a sin-bearer, making atonement by His blood. Now that He is risen from the dead, He is proclaimed to all as the object of faith. The way to have blessing for the present. and glory for eternity, lies in trusting Him.

The Bible says: "To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name. whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins." (Acts 10:43) Could words be plainer?

The course of true wisdom is to give heed to the sure directions of the Word of God and thus, escape the awful peril of being misdirected.

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36).

The Pawned Bible
[This article taken from the "SyeeC Homepage" in Singapore. ]

When W. P. Mackay left home for college at the age of seventeen, his mother gave him a Bible. On the inside cover she wrote his name, her name and a Bible verse.

He later was graduated from medical school with high honors, and eventually became head of a large hospital. He was also president of an atheistic society and freely engaged in "high living". He was quite outspoken in his criticism of God and the Bible.

One day a severly injured man was carried into the hospital. As Dr. Mackay looked him over, he was amazed to see the peace and radiance on the man's face.

"Just what is my condition?" asked the man. "Oh, I guess we'll pull you through," replied the doctor.

"Doctor, I don't want any guess work. I want to know if it is life or death: I am ready. I am not afraid to die because I have put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour. He paid the penalty for my sins and I know I will be with Jesus if I die."

"You have at the most three hours to live" replied Dr. Mackey. "Is there anything you would like for us to do?"

"Thank you," said the man. "In my pocket is my paycheck. Would you send it to my landlady and ask her to send me the book?"

"What book?" inquired the doctor."Oh, just ask her for the book. She will know."

The doctor made arrangements to do as the man asked, and then went on to other patients, but he could not forget the words of the man who wasn't afraid to die.

Usually Dr. Mackay did not have personal interest in his patients but this time he returned to the unit where the man was taken and asked the nurse how he was. "He died a few minutes ago," she informed him.

"Did he get the book in time?" he asked. "Yes, just before he died."

"What was it? His bank book?" questioned the doctor. "No," she replied, "It is still there under his pillow; go and take a look."

Dr. Mackey went to the bedside, reached under the man's pillow and pulled out a Bible. As he did so it opened to the inside cover, and there in his mother's handwriting was his own name, her name and the Bible verse! It was the very same Bible his mother had given him when he left home for college. One time, years before at college, while drunk he had pawned it to be able to buy more liquor.

Dr. Mackey was amazed and overwhelmed by memories. He rushed to his office and fell on his knees and asked God for mercy and forgiveness for his sinful life.

He realized that "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners …" (1 Tim. 1:15), and that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

God had His eye on that Bible and answered that mother's prayers. Dr. Mackay the atheist became a preacher of the gospel. What a transformation!

Do you know that God loves you and wants to be your Saviour too? "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom 5:8)

Be Patient: Our Redemption Draweth Nigh. James 5:8
-Andy Neckar

The Whore of Babylon is gaining world endorsement as the Ambassador of Romanism speaks of peace and reconciliation. The "formally" Protestant churches are turning into Synagogues of Satan and are holding hands with the Great Whore, this false church, who is now "reaching out" to "pagan religions".

The end is growing near, but hold fast to the faith. Our God is "still" in charge.

"UMC" Paragraph 65C, ect, verses "Christian" Matt !9:5, ect.

A complaint filed against an Iowa UMC pastor earlier this year for participating in a "holy union" service for two women in Sacramento, Calif., has been dismissed by his bishop. The Rev. David Holmes of Council Bluffs was named in a complaint filed Jan. 21 with Bishop Charles W. Jordan (Iowa Area) for violating the denomination's prohibition against homosexual unions. The complaint said Mr. Holmes' participation in the Sacramento service transgressed "Paragraph 65C of the 1996 United Methodist Book of Discipline." Bishop Jordan said that Mr. Holmes' participation in the union service on Jan. 16 "consisted of being in the wedding march and sharing in a prayer with nearly 100 others. He did not conduct nor did he have a leadership role in any part of the service. His presence was one of witness and togetherness." (Reported by the United Methodist Reporter 5/5/99)

[Editor] When matters are brought before the CHURCH in Christian church discipline, we are to lay the charge of transgression for instance to, "Matthew chapter 19,verse 5-6.", of God's Word in the Holy Bible.

The UMC presently honors a book of the year 1996, and next year it will be the year 2000 book. We Christians honor the Holy Bible, which goes back to the beginning of time. How many times has the UMC Book of Discipline been changed/modified? THIS is the book the UMC church uses to hold leaders and members accountable.

BUT-the Christian Book holds true.
Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

The Christian Guide Book is God's Word, The Holy Bible, The Scriptures.

Why is "OUR BOOK" unchanging? Because the "Author" never changes.

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever'
By the way, Jesus Christ is God.

Our God, the God of the Bible-the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ordained marriage between one MAN and one WOMAN to replenish the earth. (Gen 1:27-28) Matt 19:6 tells us that what God has joined together let no man put asunder. The same can be said of what God has ordained.

UMC (United Methodist Church)-SOS (Synagogue of Satan)

Good News, an evangelical renewal movement within the United Methodist Church, is complimenting both the guilty verdict and the penalty in the March 25-26 church trial of Chicago pastor Greg Dell.

By a 10-3 vote at the trial in Downers Grove, Ill., Dell was found guilty of disobeying the "order and discipline of the United Methodist Church" by performing a union ceremony for two men at Broadway United Methodist Church. The trial court suspended Dell, effective July 5, until he promises not to conduct same-sex ceremonies or until the denomination's policy changes.

Good News said in a 3/30/99 statement that "It is clear that the church does not set policy related to important matters of church discipline by resorting to ministerial disobedience…. " This is done at the general conferences held every four years. If the church's Book of Discipline had not been upheld, the group said, "we would have had nothing binding (to restrict) the covenant (agreement) community (fellowship) together." (reported by UMC news service 4/2/99)

[Editor] This Greg Dell is being punished for disobeying a "man made resolution", not for disobeying the Almighty God. The UMC is held to honor the churches "Book of Discipline," NOT "God's Word in the Holy Bible". You see, it is these "general conventions" where UMC members VOTE to establish the Book of Discipline, which is their guide to daily living. This Book of Discipline is their remake of the Christian Holy Spirit. Why, without the UMC Book of Discipline the "covenant community" (UMC church) would have no leadership. There would be "nothing" and "no one" to guide them.

This concludes my comments on the SOS (synagogue of Satan) church. You see, Satan changes his tactics all the time, and this suspension of Dell is based on two conditions. Until he promises not to do this anymore (forget about repenting-a promise will do) OR until the DENOMINATION'S POLICY "CHANGES". This "United Methodist Policy" is the god of that synagogue of Satan

Here Christ is speaking to Christian churches that have kept His Word, and NOT some book of discipline.

Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, (Christians) and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Folks, due to time circumstances I am somewhat late on preparing this month's newsletter. I have been getting personal witnessing literature ready for folks that will not be home when the Chapel here in Hico begins door to door witnessing. The literature is now on hand along with doorknob bags.

I have been preparing weekly Bible studies and Sunday morning sermons as the only leading Elder here at Community Bible Chapel. I pray that the Lord will open wide a door of utterance for me (Col 4:3) and send some help, as I still have my e-mail responses, the CNV News Service periodic articles, and web page updates.

Pray that the Lord give me boldness to witness the gospel of Christ in love in my community. Please pray that I do not "water down" the gospel in order to gain a sizable "string of fish" to "my credit". I cannot preach against something and be guilty of that very same error myself. I ask for your prayers, not because I am presently tempted to do these things, but because I know that I am human, and without prayer to Him, who strengthens, I will be weak and vulnerable.

Community Bible Chapel.

two from Weatherford, TX, awaiting baptism in Lake Whitney in a few weeks. Will come when they can.

This assemble of believers is small but: Matt 18:20 is a promise of Christ's special presence in the smallest conceivable congregation wherever they may meet.

However, Matt 18:19 is a much maltreated verse in the Bible. It is used by many TV evangelists to "agree with you in prayer" for health and wealth ect. But-this verse comes with a stipulation. We are to have confidence in our God all right, but "this" is the confidence we are to have.

I John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing "according to his will", he heareth us.

We at the Chapel revolve around Christ and God's Word, as we strive to assemble "according to His will".

Won't you revolve around Christ and God's Word in some New Testament church, "in practice", and join us in our resolve to "Trust and Obey" our risen Lord and Savior. There's no other way to be happy with Jesus

See you next month if Jesus tarries.
