Hello Folks
I hear much talk, and receive many e-mail messages about how the United States of America has fallen away from its beginnings and the principles on which this country was founded.

The following is one of many e-mail messages I receive weekly on the subject of how far America has fallen from its Christian Roots.

Did you know that 52 of the 55 signers of the Declaration of Independence were orthodox, deeply committed Christians?  The other three all believed in the Bible as the divine truth, the God of scripture, and His personal intervention.

It is the same Congress that formed the American Bible Society. Immediately after creating the Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress voted to purchase and import 20,000 copies of scripture for the people of this nation.

Patrick Henry, who is called the firebrand of the American Revolution, is still remembered for his words, '"Give me liberty or give me death."'  But in current textbooks the context of these words is deleted.  Here is what he actually said: '"An appeal to arms and the God of hosts is all that is left us.  But we shall not fight our battle alone.  There is a just God that presides over the destinies of nations.  The battle sir, is not to the strong alone.   Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it almighty God.  I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death."'

These sentences have been erased from our textbooks.  Was Patrick Henry a Christian?  The following year, 1776, he wrote this '"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great Nation was founded not by religionists, but by  Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded freedom of worship here."'

Consider these words that Thomas Jefferson wrote on the front of his well-worn Bible: '"I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus.  I have little doubt that our whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator” He was also the chairman of  the American Bible Society, which he considered his highest and most  important role.

On July 4, 1821, President Adams said, '"The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity."'

Calvin Coolidge, our 30th President of the United States reaffirmed this truth when he wrote,  '"The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country."'

In 1782, the United States Congress voted this resolution: '"The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools."'

William Holmes McGuffey is the author of the McGuffey Reader, which was used for over 100 years in our public schools with over 125 million copies sold until it was stopped in 1963. President Lincoln called him the '"Schoolmaster of the Nation."'

Listen to these words of Mr. McGuffey: '"The Christian religion is the religion of our country.  From it are derived our notions on the character of God, on the great moral Governor of the universe.

On its doctrines are founded the peculiarities of our free institutions. From no source has the author drawn more conspicuously than from the sacred Scriptures.  From all these extracts from the Bible I make no apology."'

Of the first 108 universities founded in America, 106 were distinctly
Christian, including the first, Harvard University, chartered in 1636.  In the original Harvard Student Handbook, rule number 1 was that students seeking entrance must know Latin and Greek so that they could study the scriptures: '"Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children to follow the moral principles of the Ten Commandments.  James Madison, the primary author of the Constitution of the United States, said this: '"We have staked the whole future of our new nation not upon the power of government; far from it.  We have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles of the Ten Commandments."'

Today, we are asking God to bless America.  But, how can He bless a Nation that has departed so far from Him?  Prior to September 11, He was not welcome in America.  Most of what you read in this article has been erased from our textbooks.  Revisionists have rewritten history to remove the truth about our country's Christian roots.

The Nations, and the governments of those Nations, are preparing themselves to accept a “new world leader”. They are preparing their bridal gowns for their marriage to the Anti-Christ. THIS is what is happening Folks.  You that study to show yourself approved unto God can discern this the same as I can. (2 Tim 2:15)

God does not leave His children in the dark. (John 8:12; Eph 5:8; 1 John 1:6)

Did you know that 100% of the writers of the God’s Word were Holy Spirit inspired Prophets, Holy men of God and Apostles? (2 Peter 1:20-21)

Read the history of the founding of the CHURCH and see for yourself how far the assembly, (not the true church) has fallen away.

Many “books” that pretend to be God’s Word have been written. God’s Word to us has been “rewritten”. Revisionists have rewritten history to remove the truth about the Churches Christian roots. Revisionists leave out the FOUNDATION (1 Cor 3:11 of the Christian Church, and it’s CORNER STONE. (Eph 2:20; 1 Peter 2:6)

I believe that America is no more Christian than Nigeria, Kenya or any other country on the face of this earth. Heaven, at one time, went from a God fearing heaven to a rebellious heaven.  There was SIN in HEAVEN.  Know what?  God booted out all the sinful angels and sent them to earth; and one day He will boot them all into the Lake of Fire, which was created especially for them.(Matt 25:41.

Know what else?  God is gonna boot all the rebellious and religious people on planet earth into the same place—FOREVER. (Matt 7:21-23; Luke 13:23-28; Rev 20:14)

Today the church is more beset by traitors within than by foes without. Satan is not fighting churches, he is joining them. He does more harm by sowing tares than by pulling up wheat. He accomplishes more by imitation than by outright opposition. The world is accepted into the church and its programs endorsed. Worldly celebrities are called in to enhance the gospel and preachers participate in the performances of the ungodly. The same popular singer combines sensuous publicity in the papers with the gospel songs in the record shops. Preachers make clowns of themselves and churches become theaters.  [Vance Havner]

Folks, Acts 17:6 has not been happening for a LONG TIME, and will NEVER happen again.  We are in the midst of the “last days great falling away” (2 Thess 2:3).

Speaking earlier of America’s history, I had better play like Paul Revere and jump on my steed and go to sounding the news that JESUS IS COMING, JESUS IS COMING—soon.

Two Fathers, Two Families, Two Fates

Jonathan Edwards, one of the greatest minds that God has given America, lived in the state of New York. He was a Christian and believed in Christian training. He married a girl of like character. From this union men have studied 729 descendants. Of this number came 300 preachers, 65 college professors, 13 university presidents, 60 authors of good books, 3 United States congressmen, and one vice president of the United States; and barring one grandson who married a questionable character, the family has not cost the state a single dollar.

Max Jukes lived in the same state. He did not believe in Christian training. He married a girl of like character. From this union men have studied 1,026 descendants. Three hundred of them died prematurely. One hundred were sent to the penitentiary for an average of 13 years each. One hundred ninety were public prostitutes. There were 100 drunkards. The family cost the state $1,200,000. They made no helpful contribution to society.

The difference in these two fathers, two families, and two fates as caused by Christian home training and heart conversion. What choices will you make? What direction will you set for your family? Life is not a bed of roses. However, you may choose to go with God or you may choose to go alone. Trust the Lord and He will go with you. Yes, the storms of life will come and the critics will have their opinions, but the Lord will never leave or forsake you.

“It is not the critic who counts, not the one who points out how the strong man stumbled or how the doer of deed might have done them better.

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred with sweat and dust and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends himself in a worthy cause; who, if he wins, knows the triumph of high achievement; and who, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”  (The last two paragraphs by Theodore Roosevelt) [The Voice in the Wilderness]

Do You Fear Criticism?
The galleries are full of critics. They play no ball. They fight no fights.

They make no mistakes because they attempt nothing. Down in the arena are the doers. They make mistakes because they attempt things. Ford forgot to put a reverse gear in his first automobile. Edison once spent $2,000,000 on an invention that proved of little value.

The man who makes no mistakes lacks boldness and the spirit of adventure.
He is the one who never tries anything.
He is the brake on the wheel of progress.

And yet it cannot be truly said that he makes no mistakes, because the biggest mistake he makes is the very fact that he tries nothing and does nothing except to criticize someone who does do something.

I Said It Once; I’ll Say It Again

2 Pet 1:12-13 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

Many of you already know many of the things I preach and teach.  Many of you already know what is wrong and what is right. And many of you, many times, grieve the Holy Spirit of God that is telling you the very same things that I speak of.

As Peter says in 2 Pet 1:12-13, I will not be slack in reminding you of doctrine and commandments you probably already know. As long as I am in this tabernacle, or rather, as long as I am alive, I will keep on keeping on.  I will “stir you up” and reawaken you, and inspire you, and provoke you, by continually putting you in remembrance, or until you unsubscribe.

A subscriber once, not so long ago, chided me for speaking out against the UMC church so often. He told me to stop my exposing the UMC, because; “how many United Methodists know I even exist”?

Well, I can mention two.  A UMC church secretary and a pastor that left this denomination after a few years of exhorting from CNV, and the leading of the Holy Spirit of God.

  If I said it once, I said it a hundred times.  Come out of these apostate denominations, my brethren.

  I don’t have many fish in my basket, but “it ain’t empty”

  Messengers of Christ are a sweet savour of Christ, in them that listen, believe, and are saved, and in them that scoff and perish (2 Cor 2:15) And who is sufficient (v16) for these preaching and teaching and exhorting?  (2 Cor 3:5)

  This messenger of Christ is not popular at all with the masses, because I do not corrupt the Word of God as many/most do. I do not have, nor do I need, degrees in theology. I do not have letters of commendation by some renowned organization or person. (2 Cor 3:1) I do not have the alphabet after my name, although I “do” have five letters “before” my name.
